Attempted Murder and

On 12/24/23 at approximately 2:25AM the victim was working as an unarmed security bouncer at “The Spot Bar” located at 5999 E. Livingston Ave. The victim was attempting to clear the parking lot at closing time when he advised two male blacks standing in the parking lot that it was time for them to leave the premises. One of the males in particular became argumentative with the victim and pulled a handgun out of his waistband and shot the victim numerous times in the torso, arms and legs. The victim’s life was saved due to a bulletproof vest he was wearing at the time of the incident.

On December 8, 2022, at approximately 6:41pm, officers were dispatched to the 1000 Block of Marland Dr. on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid until Columbus Fire Medic #24 arrived. The medic pronounced victim # 1 deceased at scene, at 6:53pm. The medic then transported victim # 2 to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving life-saving medical treatment, victim # 2 was pronounced deceased at 7:21pm. The victims have been identified as 45yr old Matthew Scheurell and 37yr old Branden Morris.

On Thursday, January 5, 2017, at approximately 12:30am, the Columbus Division of Police Communications Center received an emergency 911 call reporting a shooting at 28 E. Northwood Avenue. Officers and members from the Columbus Division of Fire (C.F.D.) responded to this location. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Tarak Underiner. Mr. Underiner was pronounced deceased at 12:41am, by personnel assigned to C.F.D. Medic 22. To date, no phone calls or leads have been given in this case. Any assistance from the public would be appreciated.
