News: 03.31.25

On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Patrol officers responded on a ShotSpotter call to 2281 Sullivant Avenue, a Sunoco gas station. Upon arrival, they discovered shell casings on the parking lot. A couple of minutes later, they received a shooting run at 530 Hague Avenue, a United Dairy Farmers store. Upon arrival at that scene, they found the victim, James Johnson, who had been shot inside a Honda Element. Preliminary investigation efforts revealed that two black males were involved with shooting the victim at the Sunoco station and then fled the scene in a red over gold Pontiac Montana with a female driver. Mr. Johnson then drove to the United Dairy Farmers on Hague, where the police were called. James Johnson was transported to Grant Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

in Columbus

On Monday, November 23, 2020, at 4:25PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 1181 Lockbourne Rd. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Mr. Maurice Anderson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 815 responded to the scene and transported Mr. Anderson, to Grant Hospital in Critical condition. Mr. Anderson, did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 4:49PM.
